The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B has much more processing power thanks to the Broadcom BCM2837 64-bit processor with a 1.2GHz quad-core ARMv8 CPU, 1 GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.1, an Ethernet controller, and four USB ports. With integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1, you don’t need to buy additional adapters, freeing up USB ports for other applications, such as connecting an external hard drive.


The project does not include non-volatile memory (such as a hard drive) but has an SD card slot for data storage, making it a ready-to-use board for embedded projects with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1.


Processor 

The Broadcom SoC used in the Raspberry Pi is similar to a chip used in older smartphones (Android or iPhone). Operating at 700 MHz by default, the Raspberry Pi offers performance roughly equivalent to 0.041 GFLOPS. CPU performance is similar to a Pentium II 200 MHz from 1997-1999.


The graphics capabilities of the Raspberry Pi are approximately equivalent to the performance level of the 2001 Xbox, operating at 700 MHz by default. It doesn’t heat up enough to require a heat sink or special cooling. The SoC is stacked under the RAM chip, so only its edge is visible.


Networking


The Ethernet port on the Model B is provided by a built-in USB Ethernet adapter and allows internet connectivity via a USB Ethernet adapter or Wi-Fi.

To ensure the B2midia Digital Signage application works without any access blocking, we need to have TCP ports 80, 443, and 5938 open, as these are standard ports for HTTP and HTTPS protocols. In addition to the ports, we recommend opening the links/destinations below:
